This hybrid in-person/ virtual workshop will be hosted at the Port of Long Beach Container Terminal in Long Beach, CA and will be the fifth of a series of workshops for stakeholders who are interested in the electrification of the marine industry and the development of a global high power charging standard for marine applications, leveraging the Megawatt Charging System (MCS).
The workshop will help be used the define the requirements for the marine industry and will be the first launch event of a new CharIN Marine Task Force. Building blocks from the previous four workshops will be integrated into the discussions, including a baseline of understanding about MCS, pre-identified gaps in the standard, technical and regulatory issues related to standards for marine MCS, and the necessary consensus for international collaboration.
